Research on neurological and psychiatric diseases is essential.

 

According to a recent study presented at the 2013 European Neurological Society Meeting, 220 million people suffer from neurological diseases in Europe. The cost is estimated at € 800 billion per year.
In France, the 2014 ONDAM (objectif national des dépenses d'assurance maladie) report shows the preponderance of heavy and chronic conditions, detailed in 2011: 22.6 billion euros allocated to mental health.
